Don’t get me wrong, Project Runway is one of my favorite television shows. I’ve faithfully watched every season over and over again. Halfway through last night’s show, I felt like I was watching some of those reruns. The challenge was to create a nightlife look for New York City. Contestants were all given cameras and dropped off at different parts of the city with an hour to photograph their inspiration. This inspiration reeked of the season two episode based on inspiration. But in season two we were dazzled by great talents of Santino, Chloe, and Daniel V (whose orchid inspired outfit was ripped off by Kenley last week)., no such talent has surfaced this season.

Michelle’s decision to not use the Power of Veto forces Steven to come to grips with the fact that he is the main target for eviction this week, while fellow nominee Dan breathes a sigh of relief since he feels he’s dodged a bullet. Steven is bummed he’s on the block with one of his closest friends in the house, but that doesn’t stop him from coming up with a plan to stay, even if Dan thinks pushing too hard will just make Steven look desperate. Libra speaks for the majority of the house when she explains that Steven is a strong competitor, but also that he is the first of the floaters-Renny, Jerry, Dan and Steven-to face elimination. Steven admits he’s not surprised he’s a nominee for eviction, but reveals it hurt his feelings. He thinks Jessie’s disrespect excuse is “B.S.” Libra agrees with the house consensus that Steven is the one to go this week, since he was aligned with Brian and is a strong competitor. Dan and Steven are nominated for eviction

With Brian walking out of the house as the first evictee, Dan is at peace with the fact that he stayed true to his word, but knows his short-lived alliance with Brian made him “stick out like a sore thumb.” Steven is surprised at how emotional he got over Brian’s departure, but keeps it inside since he still has to figure out how to survive in the house. Ollie’s conscience is clear, and says his relationship with April is “way more important” than betraying Brian. Read More.

In the standard post-nomination ceremony hug, Head of Household Jerry tells eviction nominee Jessie to “work it out with the people” if he wants to stay another week. Even though Jerry has nominated Jessie and Renny because the nominees got into a conflict the night before, telecom sales guy and aspiring house puppet master, Brian, thinks the nominations “were 100 percent” his idea. Brian also thinks he’s got Jerry under control. For his part, Jerry thinks he is in an alliance with Brian and the two of them will be loyal to the end. Renny tries to talk to Jessie about why they were both nominated, but he decides to focus on making himself a protein shake. Later Renny calls Jessie a “punk boy” who hasn’t gotten his “whistle wet in life.” More Here..
